Shannen

One of Petit Verbier’s longest-serving nannies, Shannen has been creating magical family holidays since December 2017. She knows Verbier inside out – and all of the best spots for play and adventure.

Warm, experienced and endlessly creative, Shannen is just as confident caring for newborns as she is keeping adventurous toddlers and older children entertained. She’s always known she wanted to work with children, going straight from school into a childcare qualification, and has been building on that ever since.

Over the years she has cared for everything from newborns (including overnight support) to toddlers, twins, and older children. She has also worked as a live-in nanny and travelled with families as their nanny abroad – always adapting easily to different family routines and needs.

Before joining Petit Verbier, Shannen worked in both a primary school and a nursery in the UK, before deciding to come to Verbier to combine her love of childcare with snowboarding.

Her favourite activities usually involve messy play and arts and crafts – and making the most of the snow, of course. She’s full of ideas she can’t wait to share with your little ones. Whether she’s creating craft projects, telling imaginative stories, or keeping babies settled, children (and parents) love her enthusiasm, professionalism and positive nature.
